FRONT YARD &
NATURE STRIP
This intentionally minimal selection is designed to focus on contrasting foliage and silvery tones, with seasonal flowering highlights.
There is an emphasis on grey, green and straw tones, with a pop of burgundy in the Cotinus, and some mauve flowers. The overall effect is soft and almost painterley, despite the simple planting.
Spring and summer see subtle changes in this space, with flushes of spring growth followed by the flowering of a few feature plants over summer.
In autumn the soft tonality of this garden really come into full effect with the Cotinus colouring up, the grasses browning off, and the seed heads of the spent flowers.
Over winter the space is dominated by the elegant dried seedheads and strawtones of the grasses, before the seedheads are removed in late winter to begin the scene again.

BACK GARDEN
In the back garden is a blended planting of native plants and flowering perennials, designed to create a lush sanctuary, while providing plenty of seasonal interest.
This naturalistic style planting is dominated by ornamental grasses and lush foliage plants, with flowering herbaceous perennials change throughout the seasons, creating a connection with your garden as you watch it through the year.
The season begins in August with the emergence of the early spring perennials and grasses. Green is the dominant colour here, with a few key spring flowering plants. In summer the space will explode into colour with native and perrennial plants in bloom, along with grass seedheads emerging.
In autumn the colours start to change and fade, relating back to the sandy tones of the surroundings. Over winter, the structure of the dormant plants with their seedheads and straw tones remain, before being cut down in late winter to begin again.
The selection will include both shade tolerant plants for the shady section along the back fence, and sun loving plants for the brighter pockets.
