River She-oak

The tree can be pruned or coppiced every few years to maintain a dense, smaller form. For younger plants, light, regular pruning in late winter helps maintain a compact shape.

Casuarina cunninghamiana (River She-oak) is naturally a large tree, reaching 20–35 meters in height. However, it is highly adaptable and responds exceptionally well to pruning, making it possible to keep it small, compact, and managed as a screen or hedge
